TCamping under Starshe camping spots near Price, UT, provide campers with spectacular scenery and plenty of outdoor activities. It doesn’t matter if you roll in with your RV or want to pitch your tent. There is a campsite for every type of camper, from full hookup to primitive sites where you can relax and unwind and appreciate the beauty of nature.

1. Price Canyon Recreation Area

Camp on the ridge high above Price Canyon in the shade of large ponderosa pine trees, and hike on a scenic nature trail through bristlecone pine trees, one of the longest living life forms on the planet. The road leading to the campground is narrow and steep and not recommended for long vehicles exceeding 35 feet. The spectacular views of the rugged canyon make it well worth the trip.

The campground offers panoramic views of the canyon with 12 spacious campsites, each with a picnic table, fire ring, and vault toilets nearby. There is no water available at the campsite, so don’t forget to take your own.

2. Huntington State Park

Pitch your tent or park your RV next to Huntington Reservoir and enjoy loads of water activities. The reservoir’s warm water is ideal for swimming, waterskiing, boating, and paddling, and anglers regularly hook largemouth bass and bluegill. It’s also a great destination for birders with plenty of migratory birds, especially waterfowl around the reservoir.

The campground offers campers a choice of standard and full hookup, pull-through, and back-in campsites. There are modern restroom facilities with showers, picnic tables scattered throughout the camping area, a shelter, and a boat launch.

3. Scofield State Park

Go on an adventure high up in the Manti-La Sal Mountains. The 2,800-acre lake provides anglers access to excellent fishing and is known for the abundance of cutthroat, rainbow, and tiger trout. You can angle from the shore or from a boat and camp out near the lake at one of two campgrounds.

The Mountain View Campground is built on a terrace on the shoreline, treating campers to spectacular views of the lake. This is a basic campground that offers spaces for tents and smaller trailers. Madsen Bay Campground is on the northern shore of the lake. The paved campsites have water and electricity, can accommodate larger rigs, has modern restrooms with hot showers, a fish cleaning station, and a boat launch nearby.

4. Green River State Park

Escape to a green oasis on the shores of the Green River and camp out on lush lawns under cottonwood trees. The campsites range from standard to full hookup RV and tent sites with modern restrooms and showers nearby. Your pets are also welcome to camp with you.

Green River State Park provides campers with magnificent canyon and desert scenery where you can play golf on the nine-hole course and go on river trips through Stillwater and Labyrinth canyons. The river is also a great fishing spot where anglers reel in carp, catfish, chub, and squawfish.
