GMC Acadia Price, UTThere’s no shortage of midsized SUVs on the market these days. With so many different options, vehicle styles need to stand out. The 2022 GMC Acadia has everything you’re looking for in an easy-to-handle SUV. From different seat configurations to state-of-the-art safety technology to four different trim levels, there’s a lot to learn about this advantageous car.

Basics About the 2022 Acadia

Available in four different trim levels, this vehicle has a lot of options for upgrades. The SLE and the SLT average 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, doing very well for a midsized SUV. The AT4 and the Denali averages are slightly lower at 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

The base engine is a 2.0L 4-Cylinder Turbo Engine, though you can upgrade to a 3.6L V6 Engine for the SLT while coming standard on the AT4 and Denali. With this engine, the Acadia SLT can tow up to 4,000 lbs when properly hitched.

New and Unique Features

A key feature of the Acadia is the adaptable seating arrangements. When all seats are fully upright, the vehicle can hold 7 people. However, the Acadia employs a foldable middle seat for easy access to the third row, allowing for greater ease when climbing in (or passing snacks). When the second and third rows are folded down, the vehicle has 79 cubic feet of cargo space.

There is a hands-free, programmable power liftgate (opening the vehicle’s trunk) that is activated by your foot in case your hands are full. A keyless open feature allows the key fob to do everything, including starting the car, with only one push of a button. When you leave the car with the fob, the doors then automatically lock after several seconds, ensuring your property is always protected.

Safety Features

While all safety features are available on all trim levels if you choose to upgrade, many come standard with the GMC Pro Safety Plus. These features include but are not limited to:

  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Lane Change Alert / Blind Zone Alert
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Rear Park Assist
  • Adaptive Cruise Control

On some models, the High Definition Surround Vision is also available. This employs multiple different cameras at multiple angles to create an image of what’s going on all around the car. This feature is only available at certain dealerships.

Trim Levels

As stated above, the 2022 Acadia comes in four trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali – the SLE being the base model. There are both performance differences, such as engine options, as well as interior and exterior cosmetic differences. The SLE and AT4 come with black interiors while the SLT and Denali have leather options for the first two rows.

Each trim has external badging and unique wheel styles; the SLE and SLT having 18” wheels and the AT4 and Denali having 20”. It’s important to mention that the Trailering Package is available on all trim levels, and this is a requirement to tow the maximum 4,000 lbs.
